The new iOS 17.4 update has been officially released to users.

If you’re wondering what these new features are, let’s take a closer look at the 5 new features introduced with the 17.4 update.
Before you forget, if you haven’t updated your iPhone yet, you can get the new update from Settings > General > Software Update. Here are some new features available on your iOS device:

1) New emojis
If you remember, back in January, Apple added 118 new emojis to its emoji catalog. Among them; Two emojis shaking their heads “yes” and “no”, a mushroom, a broken chain and a simurgh bird stand out.

2) Updates on Apple Podcasts
With iOS 17.4, Apple Podcasts now has transcripts in English, French, German, and Spanish.
In a press release on the subject, Apple says, “Transcripts make podcasts more accessible than ever by providing a full-text presentation of each episode. “Entire episode text can be read, searched for a word or phrase, tapped to play from a specific point, and built around accessibility.”

3)Siri can read messages in supported languages
The trend of language expansion in iOS 17.4 continues with the Siri update. Siri is getting an update that lets users listen to messages in supported languages.

4) New “Battery Health” information
On iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models, you can now see the battery cycle count, manufacture date, and first use date under “Battery Health” in the Settings app.

5) Apple Music playlist update
According to Apple, when you update your iPhone to iOS 17.4, you get the ability to add songs to Apple Music Playlists, Library, and Apple Music Classical after identifying them through music recognition.

Also note that the new iOS 17.4 update is available for all users with an iPhone XS or newer iPhone model.
